Director of Electrical & Instrumentation -Grande Prairie, AB

Blue Chip MRC & Field Services is expanding to meet the increasing demand for reliable and high-quality electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance services. We are bringing the same trust, excellence, and results that have made us a leader in emissions, measurement, and regulatory services to the maintenance space.

We are seeking a Director of E&I to lead our Grande Prairie operations. This is not just a management role; it is an opportunity to build and grow an operation from the ground up. The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of $120,000, plus a non-voting equity share in Blue Chip earned annually by achieving performance targets. Additional cash bonuses will be available starting in the second year of employment, along with other incentives. A company truck will be provided as part of the compensation package. This role comes with three existing clients covering construction and startup scopes, along with an established maintenance run. Additionally, there are experienced journeyman instrument technicians ready to be led. Sales and wallet share growth will be critical elements of this job. The successful applicant must reside in the Grande Prairie area and have construction experience along with electrical knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and secure new business opportunities through trust and expertise.
  • Hands-On Work & Leadership: Lead by example, executing jobs in the field while ensuring top-tier service quality.
  • Operations & Planning: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and shop management to optimize efficiency and service delivery.
  • Team Building: Recruit, hire, and develop a team of E&I Technicians as the division grows.
  • Customer Relations: Engage directly with clients to ensure their needs are met while upholding Blue Chip’s reputation for excellence.
  • Financial & Performance Targets: Drive revenue growth through increased sales and expanded wallet share with existing clients.
  • Strategic Development: Develop and execute a roadmap for scaling the E&I division, aligning with Blue Chip’s long-term growth strategy.
